Stephen is and always has been a brilliant hairdresser. He is kind thoughtful and knows exactly how to tell you that what you want may not necessarily be the right style for you. I couldn’t be happier with my hair or the service I received today.

Finally found the hairdresser who listens

My hair was in dire need of some TLC, style grown out and runway roots you could land a plane on. Notty listened to my ideas and ran with it adding her own creative flair. To say I’m pleased is a massive understatement. Everything was perfect from arriving and I honestly couldn’t recommend Blue and Notty especially enough ❤️

As the title says awesome as usual ! . It is a joy to come to the salon everyone is relaxed but still professional. Great to catch up with Notty and have a bit of a giggle. Leaving with a great haircut and new programms to watch bonus. !

Funky and friendly salon in the middle of York. Stephen and his team offer a very high quality service without the pretentiousness of a city salon. I always feel looked after and know I’m in very capable hands, more importantly I always come out looking my best me!!!

Amazing haircut! Went from really long to really short wanted a specific style and have quite unruly curly hair. Lorraine gave me exactly what I wanted!

Brilliant stylist excellent experience

I had a terrific experience at Blue hairdresser. Stephen diagnosed (no other word for it) my hair and explained the best way to style it. I am very happy with the result. Bonus: he is an excellent conversationalist. Staff were consistently pleasant and helpful. Price was very fair, especially considering the high quality of the service.

He is a man with many talents! I feel ready for summer! ?

Nobody can cut my hair (or tolerate my demands !) the way Stephen does.
He listens to what I’m asking for and is very patient and understanding and the result is a haircut that I’m complimented on everywhere I go.
As an ex hairdresser that had been cutting their own hair for years I know I can be a challenge…but Stephen has my utmost trust and I never ever want anyone else to cut my hair now.
