The girl who put my colour on, rinsed it off and shampooed my hair was excellent, very accurate & thorough.

As a client of many years, I look forward to my regular visits to Evolve. I know I will always leave feeling pampered and well looked after with a perfect new hairdo! Ebony has been doing my hair for a while now and I am always really really pleased with the results. She puts you at your ease and is so helpful making suggestions with cut and colour. I would highly recommend her.

I've been going to Charlotte for about 5 years now. My hair went grey in my late 30s and I got fed up of dying it, so under Charlotte's careful supervision I grew it out. I was really keen not to end up with a middle aged frumpy look, and Charlotte is always full of ideas so although my hair is short, we change it up all the time and it looks amazing - it's really funky with shaved sides at the moment, and I feel so confident, having great hair makes such a difference. She also totally gets that I don't have a lot of time/inclination for styling so it's always really easy to look after. Add to that friendly staff, no bother if you need to change appointment time, and great coffee. Even though I've moved out of York, I come in for my hair and I won't be changing!

I’ve used many salons over the past years but wouldn’t dream on going anywhere else now. I have been going to evolve for over 10 years & the customer service , knowledge & skill of their staff is amazing! Lynsey the owner is also very welcoming and obviously cares for her staff.
Charlotte is a brilliant hairdresser and nothing is too much trouble! I so look forward to my visits!!

I tried different Salons in the last few months but I wasn’t happy with the results. At Evolve I have haircuts by Joanne whom I find to be professional, fair; she has reduced my payment if she ended doing a different haircut to what I was booked for, accommodating and flexible. I would recommend the salon to anyone.

Had my hair cut 3 times now by Claire and extremely happy every time, looks great and feels great! The customer service and standards at Evolve are also definitely higher than most.

A lovely friendly salon. Everyone is treated with such respect because of the ethos of the owner. My hair is always cut and styled so well and people quite often ask me where I have it cut.

Amazing experience from start to finish. Greeted with a smile, sat with a cuppa while I waited and then greeted by Joanne. She was very friendly and professional, taken an interest in what I wanted (even though I wasn't quite sure what I wanted) and offering her professional opinion on what she thought would suit me. Really enjoyed my visit and will definitely return again. Friendly and personal experience.

Fantastic service, my daughter loves her new hair cut. Ebony took great care to make this experience special for my daughter. Highly recommended!

Stylist was running late. I was supposed to be having a big bouncy blow dry for a wedding. I ended up having my hair rough dried with straighteners through the ends for a bit of a wave - which is how I usually style my hair at home (without the cost).

Restyle was excellent, Joanne could not be more helpful, listening to everything I needed and gave me a lot of confidence, my salon for the future

So I needed to find a new hairdresser and thought I'd go to evolve which is near to where I live and I'd heard good things. It was an amazing experience. Totally loved it and loved my hairdresser (Ebony). She was so amazing, so informative and completely got me and my laziness. It's the first time in years I've left a hairdressers actually feeling just amazingly happy. It was the most wonderful experience ever.

I had my first hair appointment with Vicki today and was thoroughly pleased with my hair style. It was exactly what I wanted and Vicki gave the time to ensure it was right. All the staff were friendly and professional and I had a delightful few hours ‘on me’. Thank you all for a very pleasant introduction to Evolve.

As you walk in you get greeted by friendly faces, they take your jacket and hang it up for you, offering you a beverage as you wait. Ebony who was my stylist sat down with me and we go through exactly what I’m wanting and how we are going to get there, giving me information and advice. We then started the long process with bleaching my hair, which goes quickly with great conversation. I then had to wait 40mins, but with a lovely cappuccino made there for you and my book it was really relaxing. I then moved on to having my hair rinsed, and oh how wonderful the chair was, massaging your body as you have your hair washed. Ebony was a fantastic stylist, giving me great advice on what products to use and making me feel so calm and relaxed throughout the whole process. I will definitely be back, thank you again.

Had my hair cut here for the first time today. Everyone very friendly.
Fran cut my hair and I thought she was fantastic. She asked lots of questions about my hair, and what I did or didn't want. I've never had such a thoughtful, considerate, thorough hair consultation. She explained what she was going to do really well, and gave me a fab haircut.

The hair appointment it’s self was great, amazing service and couldn’t fault my hairdresser. She did everything as I wanted it. However the manager made me feel quite uncomfortable standing at the till and making sure I was paying the correct amount and making a point of waiting at the till till I had done so. Made me feel quite small and intimidated and as though my custom wasn’t enough.

I had the underside of my hair coloured and I have super thick hair that is very tricky to work with but the stylists did a great job over 5.5 hours of making me feel comfortable with drinks, chat and even a massage chair!

Service was very nice. I was surprised by the kind and lovely extras. Body relaxation and Massage chair was nice. As well the head massage whilst washing.

I have been coming to this salon for the last 5 years and the staff at the salon I have always found to be professional and helpful and make you feel like part of the Evolve "family" . Creative Director Claire is my go to hair guru.

Today I decided to revamp my colour and was totally impressed with the consultation regarding my colour.I was consulted about my needs and wants and desired end result - there was great input and explanations from Claire - determined to get the right colour(s) and result for me.

The end result was absolutely amazing - I have had the same colour on my hair for the last 5 years and took the plunge today to do something different and was so glad that I made that decision and delighted that I had the support and expertise of Claire ( who I totally trust with my hair!)

I left the salon and went home with a very sleek and bouncy style with a grown up colour - slightly darker than before but with subtle copper and golden highlights. Well suited to me and my skintone.

I am so delighted and feel 5 years younger as a result. If you want a feel good experience and want to come out of a salon feeling a million dollars then visit Evolve.

It was my first visit to Evolve and I must say I was impressed. The atmosphere was professional yet relaxed, I was greeted with a pot of tea and my stylist really listed to what I wanted and kept me informed of what she was doing. I felt at ease and i didn’t feel rushed at all.

Plus my hair looked and felt amazing!!!!
