Evolve Hairdressing

My stylist of 15 years has recently moved to Evolve, so although i’m supremely confident and secure in her abilities (you are great, Holly!) I was curious how I would find the salon. Well, it was amazing. All the staff friendly, very professional, and with great attention to detail. As the products were new to my hair, I Was given a detailed consultation that made me confident in my choice of colour- and it looked amazing! There’s a real buzz in the salon, beautifully presented refreshments, everything is unhurried, and I simply have to namecheck Meghan’s head massage. Absolute bliss!!

Jayne was really friendly... completely put me at ease despite me not having a clue what I wanted or what would suit and she did a fantastic restyle cut for me... very happy!!

My first time at Evolve and I’m really happy with the result. I had the lovely Jane, who was the perfect blend of lending her professional opinion whilst considering what I wanted. I would definitely recommend giving Jane a visit.

So after 16-17 years of going to the same salon, my hairdresser (and friend) took a new job at Evolve. What can I say, certainly nothing negative. My hair looks and feels fantastic, everyone was lovely, they have amazing massage seats for when you get your hair washed. Great drinks list and well looked after. It made a very pleasant change and my girl is very happy working there.

First time here in many many years. Had an excellent experience and this will now be my hairdressers going forward. Friendly from the minute I walked in. Had loads cut off and my hair restyled, it's perfect. Thanks very much!!

Holly is a brilliant colourist and subtly blended shades to fade out the grey! She also did a fantastic job cutting my thick, curly hair into a style that suits me, and I've been complimented on. She really listened to what I asked for. Thank you so much!

All staff friendly and professional. Please allow either tipping by card or keep change in till - was sad I couldn't leave a tip.

First time, lovely team of ladies and extra thanks to the lady who lent me money for the car park and popped out to put a new ticket in the machine. I’m afraid I can’t remember my hairdressers name but she was excellent and dealt with my restyle really well! My only negative was that it was a little cold but everyone else seemed fine so that was probably just me!

Pleased with the cut unfortunately after 1 hour the blow dry had totally lost its bounce and in actual fact non of my family were even aware I had been to the hairdresser's. Was charged for re-style when in actual fact it was only a trim and thinning out but overall happy with the cut.

It was my first visit to Evolve. I came with Holly from her previous salon and have to say I was very impressed. Holly was wonderful - as always. The salon is well run and very professional and the service from arrival to leaving was perfect. I look forward to my next appointment. Thank you.

The salon was very bright with a welcoming atmosphere. The stylist who did my hair was very welcoming and attentative, with good knowledge and a friendly demeanour.
I was pleased with the end result as I was consulted beforehand about how I wished my hair to be styled and what products I usually use.
I have never visited such a high quality salon where I could find no fault.

Best hairdresser in the UK!

Visited today( having had a bad experience in another salon) Joanne was great she listened, offered sound advice, I got a great cut, and left feeling great... Next appointment booked... Thank you thank you!!!

I have never been to the salon before. I am from Wigan and was attending a wedding in York. The salon was recommended to me by my host in York who uses the salon herself. The stylist who did my hair was Ebony. The service was very good and the blow dry was brilliant. She did it exactly how I wanted it and the result was great. I would definitely recommend the salon.

The salon have ruined my hair. I have spent years growing old colour out and had my natural colour with a few blonde highlights. Now I have been left with bright blonde hair with ginger stripes! I am going to have to see a colour correction specialist at my old salon and see what they can do with it. I am extremely upset and am totally embarrassed to go out in public now. She did not listen to me and totally did what she wanted, all I asked for was my roots doing and have ended up with no natural colour left. I am devastated and it’s going to cost me a fortune and take months and months to fix.

Claire you were great, made me feel so comfortable, like I’d been coming to you for years but still a very high level of professionalism. Love my hair.

Excellent salon! My cut was given by Sam who not only displayed expert knowledge, but was also one of the loveliest people to talk. I would definitely recommend, I can honestly say that this is one of my best haircuts. Thank you!

A really lovely experience.
Charlotte soon new what I was hoping from my new haircut and gave some great advice and explained every step and I am very happy with the result.

i Enjoyed the full experience from entering to leaving the salon. All the staff are friendly and attentive. Natasha did my hair today. I am so proud of her and very impressed with the professionalism that she showed throughout. So much so that I have decided to leave my own hairdresser and become one of Natasha’s clients

I was visiting York for the weekend and was recommended Evolve. Really nice staff, talked me through what we could do. If I'm back in York I'd make a point of coming back to get another blow dry.

As usual I am absolutely delighted with my hair after a very relaxing morning at evolve. Jo always delivers the most beautiful cut and highlights and the head massage and olaplex treatment are just gorgeous. Lots of people comment on my hair and having experienced many salons in York, I now point them in the direction of Evolve.
