This must be the best salon in the North of England. Nothing is too much trouble, you're always made extremely welcome and they're damned good at their jobs! I wouldn't go anywhere else and I've been using Saks York for 30+ years.

It was a wet and windy day and I was welcomed and immediately offered a hot drink. The salon was busy and lively. Robyn discussed my hair which had gone very fair due to a holiday in Greece. Robyn expertly toned down the colour. She is always lovely to chat to. Robyn cut my hair with great care and her usual attention to detail. The result is a transformation and my hair is a beautiful colour.

I started my journey in May 2024 with stylist Jess. She started to lighten my hair after years of using dark coloured box dyes at home. Today was the second session and I felt obligated to say how much I appreciate her amazing customer service and her professional yet friendly attitude towards me. I’m never disappointed with the results, in fact I’m so happy I travel from Teeside just to get it done. I just wanted to recommend Jess as the quality of her work never disappoints and her general customer experience that she provides is brilliant. I would suggest Jess to anyone and everyone, as I will be using her in the future for definite.

I don’t usually write hair salon reviews, but wanted to share my experience going to Saks York and being so impressed with this salon. I became regular customer there with Louise the hairstylist who is exceptional for haircutting, colouring and styling. This salon is the ultimate example of excellence.

I always enjoy going to Saks hair salon in York. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Ashley is a brilliant hairdresser. He always cuts and styles my hair as I like it. Will definitely be back soon for the usual semi permanent colour.!
