Amazing service from start to finish, this is the second time Emma has done my hair her confidence has grown,she is amazing and enjoys her job. Also Jessie who is now qualified is always very kind and helpful.

Excellent service as usual from all staff and particularly from Holly, making me feel lovely once again.

The salon is a very friendly environment and the staff are very good at what they do. You can relax and enjoy being pampered - a bit of “me time”.

You don’t just get a haircut, although the hair quality is superb; you don’t just get free drinks, you get people who give of their best and give of themselves. Care, courtesy and friendship. Fantastic place. I highly recommend it.

I find the staff both friendly and efficient nothing is too much trouble. My hairdresser Ashley is both up for change and a challenge, when I want something different, and always has ideas and talks you through them so your on the same page, which is always very pleasing.

Louise was really helpful in suggesting what to do with my hair which is just what I needed. She was so nice, friendly and professional . The young lady that made me a perfect cup of tea was lovely too. We now have a plan for my hair so I am really happy. Love the drinks lounge too!

My first appointment with SAKS York, and thrilled that every part of the experience was excellent. Each member of the team who looked after me was lovely. Ashley showed his professionalism and knowledge through listening, giving helpful and positive advice, being relaxed but still attentive to every detail in achieving a beautiful hair style which I am absolutely delighted with. I have been coming to this salon for many years and always emerge feeling relaxed , rested and perhaps most importantly , delighted with my hair. This is a family owned salon where everyone takes an enormous pride in their work. Today I have had a great cut delivered with care and precision and a beautiful , carefully finished blow dry . Thank you to Ashley and not forgetting Darci who gave me the most wonderfully relaxing head massage .

I can honestly say that this is the best my hair has looked after an appointment. Emma did such an amazing job and I will be going back. She is so chatty, helpful and clearly loves what she does.

Jess is a lovely girl who listens to what I say with regard to my hair. Often offering her advice and guidance. She is easy to talk to and the appointment flies. She is not frightened to ask for help and takes on board advice from senior stylists.

I am 17 months old and my hair was very long. It was only my 2nd time visiting a hair salon but I was looked after so well. I was given lots of biscuits and Louise was very smiley and we sang wheels on the bus together. She was lovely and I gave her a high five at the end.

I always have a great experience at Saks when I have an appointment from the friendly welcome when you arrive and the offer of refreshments. The atmosphere is always good and the music in the background creates a nice vibe. Holly has always been my stylist and has given great advice about styles to suit me and then following up with a great haircut. I look forward to every appointment.

Robin is super professional, listens well to her customer's needs and ideas and supports with her knowledge and expertise, goodvluck with the colour course!

Ashley cut my daughter’s hair to a really stylish bob after she donated her long hair to the little princess trust. He was very patient, knowledgeable and showed me how to style her short hair going forwards.

Had an appointment with Robyn today for a refresh. I have lots of hair and it gets heavy. We had a good discussion on how I wanted my hair to feel. Robyn gave me lots of options. I am delighted with how my hair turned out.

There’s always a warm welcome at the Saks salon in York. I can honestly say that Holly is the best stylist I’ve ever had (which is saying something with my ‘awkward’ hair!). I always leave the salon feeling much better about myself than I did when I walked in. Thank you x
