TONI&GUY YORK opened in the town in 1998.

We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service. Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice on the latest trends and services.

Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

Members of our Colour team hold the prestigious Wella master colour expert-their knowledge and expertise are on hand to advise you on the latest colours and techniques.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair, the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry and Microlinks/ring Tape extensions. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, Wella, Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. Made a last moment appointment for a blow dry. Comfortable massage chair during washing and fabulous treatment by Claire., an interesting and very capable person! Just on a visit from Holland, but wish I could come here regularly. Excellent!

I have been coming to get my hair done at the salon for a while now and always had 5* service and never been disappointed in how my hair has been done.

However on my last occasion I was really disappointed. Upon inspecting my hair when I got home I noticed it was cut really uneven. One side was left a lot shorter than the other side.
The colour was also left really yellow and brassy, if I was to tie my hair up there is bit’s that have been missed and it has what looks like tiger stripes throughout.
I did call to complain and I went back to have it cut correctly and a toner put on. Now the toner has washed out my hair is back to looking really yellow again and I still have the tiger strip issue.
As I say ***** does an amazing job, however I do feel on this occasion I was rushed as she was going out and was finishing work early (to which we were already just over her finishing time) Although this shouldn’t have affected her quality of work especially as I was paying the same amount as everyone else. It’s ashame as now I have to find another salon to do my hair.

Good cut, but hated the hairwash

Had a decent cut. But person who washed my hair had water really cold, despite me telling them several times it still ended u only lukewarm. Sinks without leg rests are really unconfy and hair wash was really rough/rushed due to discomfort. Usually it is better than this.

Best creative hairdresser in the North. Cuts hair so well it looks amazing even 6 weeks after. I’m never afraid to just point at a photo I take in and get an honest opinion and great suggestions.. I just know it will turn out well.

From the second you walk in the door it’s like coming home to old friends, warm and inviting, with a buzz in the air! Every one exuberating passion for what they do. Claire understands hair like no one else I know and is a true artist.
