TONI&GUY YORK opened in the town in 1998.

We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service. Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice on the latest trends and services.

Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

Members of our Colour team hold the prestigious Wella master colour expert-their knowledge and expertise are on hand to advise you on the latest colours and techniques.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair, the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry and Microlinks/ring Tape extensions. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, Wella, Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. She worked very fast and skilledly at cutting my hair and listened to what I wanted.

A long awaited appointment but having just broken 2 ribs 3 days earlier I didn’t want to cancel. Called the salon in advance and they were great. Said I could wash my hair at home & they’d dampen it down & cut it. The young guy at reception was lovely, helping me get comfortable & Jed was careful through out the cut that I was ok. Both went above and beyond. And a great hair cut, as always at T&G - never disappointed- thanks guys

Christopher was excellent! He listened to me regarding the new style I wanted and asked throughout what I thought so I got the cut I desired.
As a recent first time mum, I felt pampered with the massage chair, head massage/ conditioning treatment with hot towel like a spa treatment followed by a fab new haircut.
The setup of the hairdressers is very reassuring with all the staff wearing PPE and social distancing measures in place. I felt calm and relaxed. Christopher explained the products he used on my hair during the appointment and how to make the most of them at home, of which I purchased two of them on your buy one get one half price offer.

Since my first appointment with Claire I was given advice on how to repair years of damage to my hair, explored a more flattering hairstyle and managed to grow my hair looking healthy and shiny. I have been coming to T&G York for years and years. Although my usual stylists have all now left, I am trying to remain loyal. I have very dark, long hair and came in for a long-awaited balayage. Liam has done this previously- simple very small highlights to break up the darkness. I showed the stylist a picture of what I would like. What I now have is a band of dark hair (down to my ears) then ginger hair from my ears to the middle of my back. I am very blonde at the back of my head. I don’t entirely blame the stylist - the appointment felt rushed and like she was h see way too much pressure. For £205 I was very disappointed. It’s definitely not a balayage, more of an all over colour. I’ve booked back in with Liam to have it corrected.

Nikki was excellent as always. Great cut, excellent attention to detail and made a great job despite me not being able to articulate exactly what I wanted so interpreted it well and it turn out as I wanted it to.
