Isla was lovely and friendly but I did set her a challenge with my hair. I am always doubtful when having to change salons as I am a person of colour and when my hair is curly it freaks a few hairdressers out because they may never have dealt with my hair texture. Whilst I knew it was a big task, Isla took it in her stride. She struggled a little but with some advice from me she tackled it again and I was very pleased with the end result.
If she can do my hair she will be amazing with anyone's. Well done Isla.

Jess has been cutting my hair every four weeks for over four years now (sorry that I’ve left it so long to write a review!). Over that time, it’s been good to have an ongoing dialogue about how I’d like my hair to look (and about life more generally). I can certainly recommend Jess and Saks Hexham to any men considering using the salon, but who’ve maybe been a bit unsure. Jess’s barbering skills are great and the price of a gent’s cut is good value, I feel.
