Stuart is a lovely stylist and listened to what I wanted. We had a cut the first week and the colour had to be moved to a follow up week. I have very curly hair and there are a few tools the salon should have in place. A curly detangling brush not a tangle teaser. And a product which has a less sticky consistency and deeply moisturises curly hair along with a gel product for hold. Would also be good to have a large diffuser for curly hair.
I personally was not a fan of the styling products too sticky and not moisturising enough. Stuart listened and engaged really well when styling my hair and I would hight recommend him. Also kept me replenished with refreshments throughout the visit.

This was my first time at Ora (birthday treat by my wonderful friend) and made to feel welcome immediately by Ruby and the girls. Due to illness and side effects of medication, my hair (amongst other things) has been badly affected and significant hair loss has been a real issue. Sophie was just amazing, taking the time to talk to me, she has genuine understanding and empathy of the negative, upsetting feelings this evokes. Sophie took the time to talk through even the basics, such as whether I could cope with head massage during washing/temperature sensitivity etc and made me feel so comfortable and safe with her that when asked what style I wanted, I literally said ' do whatever you think is best' and it was the best choice I could have made! Sophie did a fantastic cut, finished beautifully and has made me feel so more confident and positive. I've had so many compliments and can't believe that a haircut has had such a massive impact. From excellent advice on highlighting colours, perfect hair cut and styling, back and head massage whilst having a hair wash, how could it be even better? When I arrived at the salon, I was told that what I have been quoted for and what I had booked was wrong and would incur further charges. The manager then said to honour the price and the extra cost would need to be covered by the staff/salon.
Following this, the colourist spoke to other staff and this was changed. I wasn't honoured with what I wanted, to the standard I wanted and told I would get. I was lead to believe I would still get the same outcome, but with a different technique. At the time of leaving the colour looked nice, I just didn't have the face framing highlights or general highlights I wanted. Over the last few days, the colour hadn't stayed at all. I was told it would fade but my natural root is dark brown and the ends of my hair are grey/ash coloured and it doesn't look great. I would have preferred an all over colour if I would have known. The highlights put in, you can't see. I thought at the time the lady sounded knowledgeable and as she had spoken to other staff, I would get as close to as what I asked for at the consultation. She was a lovely lady, but I am not happy with the outcome. This was a large amount of money for me to spend on having my hair done and a real treat as I hadn't had it done in years. I now need to either get the colour corrected or box dye it.
I am happy with the cut and curls created by the stylist and I learned a lot about the upkeep of my kind of hair.
All the staff are lovely, it's just such a shame that what the manager said wasn't stuck to and I'm left with odd coloured hair, even before I've washed it.
I'd like to be a returning customer, but I doubt I'd get my colour done here again.
Please stick to the promises made to your customers. I had the consultation and booked for what I was told I needed from that consultation.

Had another lovely experience today at Ora. All the girls are so welcoming and friendly that it really puts you at ease every time you walk through the door. I’m always so pleased with the consultations as they really go into depth and explain the processes and outcomes to you which is always helpful if you’re as useless with hair as me!
We always have the best time chatting away and it makes the whole experience fun.
The final result of my hair is stunning! And I can’t wait to be back in another 12 weeks!
