On my first visit, Lucy gave me a beautiful half head of highlights before Ricardo cut my curly hair. He delivered a cut that involved layering the top much shorter than the bottom - this didn’t quite work - and it wasn’t until a few days later that my daughter pointed out that there was a clear line halfway down my hair (and running all the way round) where my highlights separated from the very dark hair exposed by the layers. My husband commented that it looked like I had had my hair cut by two different people and wondered why it hadn’t been addressed at the time. However, after phoning the salon and then returning to it, I was reassured by my conversation with Lucy who proceeded to extend the highlights to cover those lost by the cut. Less impressive, however, was Ricardo’s insistence that I pay for these additional highlights, despite the fact that I was returning for the rectification of a mistake made by the salon. As it would have cost more to go to a different salon, I had no choice but to pay. I was taken aback by the lack of opportunity to discuss this with Ricardo, who claimed that it was my own fault this situation had occurred as I should have had a full head of highlights in the first place. I tried to point out that I had taken the salon’s advice, but was interrupted. My final haircut is fine and the colour by Lucy lovely, but I will not be returning to Coconut.

Fantastic cut at a lovely, warm and welcoming salon. Really happy with the colour too. I’ve been searching for someone who can cut curly hair for ages after some truly awful experiences. Fully recommend Coconut Hair. I’ve already booked my next appointment, something I never normally do until my haircut has ‘settled in’.

My experience at the salon wasn't pleasant. The stylist, she did a great job on my hair but my complain is how another stylist (NOT Richard, he is very patient and kind) treated my kids....he told my toddler to be quiet (in a rude way) a few times and it made me upset because he only raised his voice twice, and he scolded my 7 year old for leaning against the window near the posters. My kids weren't even alone because my daughter was watching over them, so I can't understand why he was so impatient. Im not pleased with this at all!!!

Richard coloured my hair beautifully as usual. The colour is perfect and my hair is in great condition.

This was my third or fourth time at Coconut since I moved to Cobham, they are not always nice, friendly and a pmeasure to be around but most importantly, always make my hair look really good, I get so many nice comments every time I go.

Had a relaxing hair wash and head massage by Jordon and another incredible cut by Ric, he’s a magician! All the staff so polite and friendly, left feeling very happy, as always!

I've been coming to Coconut since it opened (4 years?) and never felt more at ease at a salon. Ricardo offers ideas and advice, and always takes the same care whether it's a complete re-style or regular cut. He listens to what you want and remembers it! Friendly staff and a very comfortable space.

Richard is a true artist with hair. He always makes me look amazing! The atmosphere of the salon is lovely and he people are friendly.

Ricardo always listens and will offer advice re the cut - I have never been disappointed and always book my next appointment prior to leaving the salon.

Bit upset with colour but they put it right for me definitely go back again I felt really comfortable and able to talk expensive but if you don’t want quality you have to pay
