Had a fantastic appointment at the Academy in Hersham today. They managed to squeeze me in when I asked them if they could do a half head and cut at very late notice, which they did no problem. Simone talked me through what she thought would be best and asked me lots of questions about my previous hairdressers to make sure she matched the colours up correctly. I was supplied with endless drinks, magazines and had a lovely chat with her. All very professional and a lovely experience. Already booked my next appointment ????

Decided to try this salon for the first time so booked a cut and blow dry through Treatwell and had a great experience - Katt took the time to listen to what I wanted beforehand and was knowledgeable and honest. She took her time and it didn’t feel rushed and my hair now looks so much healthier - definitely recommend. Thank you!

I am very happy with the highly professional cut and colour. The salon is bright and airy and all the staff are very friendly. Chiara is supremely professional and extremely knowledgable. I am confident in her ability and will continue to have my hair styled at Academy in Hersham. My only criticism would be that the background music can get a little repetitive when you are in the salon for a couple of hours!

I decided to have a simple hair trim as I have thick, curly hair and that is all I needed. ***** decided straightaway that she will trim my hair using a razor. I wasn’t sure about this as I normally get a cut where stylists use scissors. This was a new experience and I was hesitant about it. I know traditional method of using scissors is best but still went ahead with the razor!! During hair wash I felt ***** was very persistent for me to get the hair conditioning treatment which I know will not be long lasting but went ahead with that. After blow drying my hair and then using the straighteners the razor cut was done!!! It was definitely a new experience but I won’t be having this again!! ***** definitely tried her best to up sell the shampoo and conditioner for my hair type but I didn’t want it at this time and she kept wanting me to get one product instead e.g shampoo. I didn’t want to buy the product at that time and felt she was not understanding.

First of all I would like to thank you for attending our training school and giving our trainees the opportunity to practice on your hair. Sophia used a clipper cut technique as this was the assessment she needed to pass that evening. If you are not happy with this technique please call the salon and we will be happy to cut your hair again with scissors free of charge.
Our training days are on Monday between 9am-6pm or Thursday 10am-9pm.

Very professional experience from the word go. I felt that my stylist really understood colouring and L'Oreal products, had masses of experience and was able to hold a genuinely interesting conversation. She was also willing to rectify my colour when her own suggestion hadn't quite had the effect she suggested. I felt as though she was very well informed and willing to inform me.
I was happy with the look of my hair, despite it being my first time at the salon.

I went to Academy hairdressers and had Katt (who is not on the list of hairdressers on this review), from shampoo, cut and styling. In 50 years of hairdressing, I never had anyone understanding what I would like my hair to look like. Without saying much, Katt suggested, as if reading my mind, a cut and style which is what I wanted since 50 years of going on a worldwide tour of hairdressing salons. Katt does not talk much during the styling, which is what I appreciate so much, having been bombarded by questions from hairdressers in the past. Katt concentrates on what she is doing, is concentrating and created the result I have been looking for since I am 18 years old. I am now 68! THANK YOU KATT.
I was observing the other hairdressers next to me, in the mirror, and equally, I liked what they achieved. This is a good team of people who know your hair. They listen to you and the result is fantastic.
I have not mentioned the electric massage chair when your hair is being shampooed, the coffee and the music, everything was right.
