I can't overstate how good Jenny really is! I had been growing my hair out for a couple of years and didn't know what I wanted or how to achieve it. Jenny took the time to properly study my hair and find a style that would work for me, while explaining exactly why. I'm not used to hairdressers taking this kind of care and I couldn't be happier with the results.

I had such an amazing experience at Carter & Shield. They knew exactly what to do with my curly hair and they gave me so many tips and could recommend some fab products too. I was very impressed with how they dealt with my hair as I normally struggle to find a good hairdressers that can make the most out of my curly hair.

Rihanna was so so kind and lovely from the moment I stepped into the salon, a wonderful relaxing and professional experience and will definitely be coming back soon! Also I love my hair so much!

This was my first visit after months of looking for a salon to sort my lockdown hair. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming and talked through what I wanted and made suggestions on what would work best. I’m so happy with my new colour and the cut, thank you Rhianna you’ve done a great job and even took the time to suggest a shampoo and conditioner for me. Amazing service!

After moving to the UK I spent weeks figuring out where to go for a haircut and finally decided on Carter & shields. I could not have made a better choice! Jenny walked me through every step of her cutting process and made me feel so comfortable. The result is fantastic. I’ll definitely be back again!

Amazing service from all the girls! Had a colour correction from dark brown box dye to a lighter brown with some natural highlights running through. So pleased with the final result thank you girls!! Amazing value for money, definitely recommend.

Another stunning cut and colour from Jenny!

In just a few hours she transformed my grown-out brown mop of a lockdown ‘do into a beautiful warm-toned balayage of rich brown melting into copper. Cannot stop swishing my hair in mirrors, completely thrilled with the results! Thanks Jenny and team for once again taking such excellent care of me and my hair.

Absolutely love my new hair thanks to Rhianna!! Hair was a mess with lockdown and unhappy with a cut I had at another salon but Rihanna sorted it all out for me and was able to make my hair look amazing. Went from very long hair (lower back length to above shoulder) was nervous but trust this salon to do a great cut and finish. Already had so many compliments on it. My second appointment at Carter and Shields, one of the friendliest salons I've been to. Once again I have left 100% happy. April was being trained by Elle and I believe I was the first client she has looked after but you wouldn't know it. She was brilliant and did an absolutely stellar job. Today was my first time at Carter and Shields and had been recommended to go as both my daughters come here. My daughter treated me as I had spent just over 2 months in hospital beating Covid. I have to say the team are amazing, they discussed options for my hair, checked that I was ok and were very professional. I was treated with kindness and respect, the young lady who did my hair was in training and she was brilliant, she washed my hair, toned my hair and styled my hair ever so gently. I was talked through each step of the process and I am absolutely delighted with the outcome. Thank you all for taking such good care of me, I shall see you in a few weeks!

I did my first ever balayage/colour with Rhianna after not colouring my hair for nearly 3 years, I was so nervous because of the colour damage I’ve put my hair through overtime but WOW! I could not have been happier with the results, to say I just had my hair bleached it felt in perfect condition which I did not expect and it looked absolutely amazing. So thank you so much Rihanna, you’re an absolute miracle worker!

Unfortunately due to the world today I haven’t been able to go to the salon since March...today I returned! Elle you are a miracle worker..I arrived grey and lank..I left blonde and fabulous...love it

The salon and staff is amazing, I have been asked to pay 50% of the full balance on my consultation which is fine but in the end instead of paying remaining 50% I have been asked to pay £164.20 - 50% deposit was £75 so it made no sense

Elle is quite simply a genius!
She works her magic to give you fantastic hair cuts with the most spectacular colour transformations! Whilst making you feel welcome and important. Its a great atmosphere in the salon you never feel judge or uncomfortable just supported.

I had a full head of balayage with Elle and absolutely love the results! Everyone was super lovey from start to finish, I’m very pleased with the whole experience ?

I had highlights, root tint and cut by Hermione being trained by Ellie. It was great to hear the encouragement from Elle and Hermione did really well. I'm so happy with the results that I've booked to go back for my next appointment.

Went from long hair to short and full hair highlights. My hair was looking very unhealthy and breakable. Elle did an amazing job and I cannot be more happy about the change.
