Ive been a customer of Velvet Rooms for at least 3 years and have regular cuts and colours there. Ive never had anything less than excellent service. Each session starts with checking Ive been happy with the result of the last appt, followed by advice if Im thinking of changing anything. Somehow Emma just knows what Im trying to describe and does it for me exactly. Emma is a colour expert too and won an award last year. All the staff are friendly. There are lots of price options too so if you cant spend so much one month theres cheaper services like half head colour or just a few highlights so you can still have something done. Id recommend VR to anyone.

After going to the same hairdresser for many years, I decided to try somewhere new. The staff at The Velvet Rooms made me feel comfortable and relaxed straight away. Maria listened to what I wanted and cut and coloured my hair beautifully. I am very pleased and will certainly return.

I had visited the salon as my current hair dresser had ruined my hair with colour. I went into the salon for some advice and Leanne was very helpful as well as listened to what I wanted. I was so upset with my hair and Leanne fit me in the next day. I am so pleased with the result of the colour and everyone at the salon was very friendly and just a real pleasure to be around!
I would highly recommend this salon to anyone!

Velvet Rooms it has to be said are a friendly bunch that make one feel at ease from your first sip of wonderful cappuccino to the final look in the mirror. I totally trust my stylist Emma to care and produce the look and condition I want as she would her own head of hair. All done with a smile while we catch up on my latest gossip. A first rate experience every visit.
I always love going to Velvet Rooms!! I'm a fairly new client and having been with my previous hair dresser for years, I was very worried finding a new salon when I moved house. I have never looked back! The staff are fab and my hair looks better than it ever has before. Very knowledgeable and great service.

Had an appointment with Emma to try and sort out my home dyed multi-coloured hair. She was excellent! Emma's knowledge of colouring and bleaching is exceptional, she totally understood what I wanted colour wise and explained everything as she went along. She explained fully how my hair would take colour and what to expect after a few weeks.
She impressed me so much that I have booked a follow up in 7 weeks - something I have never done before!!

Had a full head of highlights and a cut with Emma. Fantastic as usual. Speediest colourist I've ever been too and colour looks amazing. Lovely cut too. All staff friendly, helpful and polite.
I have been having hair done at The Velvet rooms for over 3 years and although I don't visit as regularly as I should (more like every 16 weeks than every 6!) The staff remember me and are always helpful and friendly. If I'm not sure exactly what it is I want done Emma always offers great advice but ultimately leaves the decision to me (apart from having a fringe put in which I told her on my first visit never to let me have even if I ask!lol!) Always come away feeling great with a great cut and colour! The coffee is rather yummy too!
