Regis Hair Salon - Gateshead

Charged £52 for 2 kids trims, literally cut both fringes wonky and too short. Could not believe the price! I thought maybe £25 at the most.

Arrived without an appointment on the chance of being seen. Staff were able to make me an appointment there and then which was very helpful.

My stylised was Joanne who was very pleasant and accommodating.

As soon as I walked through that door I felt comfortable and looked after. I was very scared to be told off about my state of my hair as I been doing my hair more then 3 years at home by myself. But Joanne was very lovely and explained me what is possible with my hair and what’s not at the moment. So all the way through I felt great and result was amazing. Way better then I expected. Absolutely love it ?

Firstly, I would like to say that Evelyn was absolutely lovely, great customer service and made me feel at ease. Unfortunately I got a big shock when it come to the bill of £131..... I literally had a trim and a brown colour on my hair, I did ask for rose gold tint on the ends, but I’m not sure if it worked, my hair is definitely not rose gold.

I’d usually pay between £60 to £70 at my normal salon. Evelyn was working between me and another lady, I had to wait 10/15 minutes for my hair to be dried and then the store was closing very soon, I did feel a bit rushed, but definitely not Evelyn’s fault - she did the best she could under the circumstances.

For the money I paid I would expect one to one service and not expected to wait. This was absolute not worth the money I paid, I felt gutted/robbed that I had to pay £131 for a trim and a block colour. When I could get exactly the same services elsewhere for a fraction of the cost!

I will definitely not be returning to a Regis hair salon.

Based on the price of £131, I will not be returning to Regis.

We visited today and it was an awful experience. I took my daughter for a dry cut. ***** was very unfriendly. I had to ask her name . I asked for the Wi-Fi password and she said she didn’t know it. I asked if she knew what a wolf cut is she said no . She started to cut my daughter’s hair without dampening it or anything. She didn’t speak at all. I asked her if she could shape it around her face as the hair was just in my daughter’s eyes and face . She said my daughter had a small forehead which meant it would always fall in her face? When she finished she’s handed me the card reader. I had to read it was £20. My daughter got outside and cried . She doesn’t want to go to school tomorrow. She said she was really uncomfortable with the hairdresser so didn’t want to say she didn’t like the way it was cut . I understood because throughout ***** was unsmiling silent and unfriendly. We are really disappointed. Would love a refund as I have to take my daughter to another stylist asap to correct this cut .

The lady cutting my hair today was called *****, she was polite and talkative but the whole experience was so painful!

I had a caramel balayage and spent over £200 but have come out with a sore head and residue of dye on my forehead, in my ear, on my eye brows.

The lady backcombed my whole head in order to apply the colour and then very painfully combed it all out. Not an enjoyable experience at all. Definitely not worth having so much money and incurring a migraine.
