Came in hating my hair after a colour from another salon and left so happy with colour and cut! Amazing all round and everyone was super lush and friendly

Not that I can go many places at the moment but Jo has done a great job making my hair feel so fresh and making me feel very welcome during the process and so did the apprentice (I didn’t catch her name) when washing my hair being very friendly and chatty.

I just realised I was charged for a wax and tint but I only got an eyebrow wax , no tint.

Had my hair done for the first time at boiler house tonight and honestly can say I’m so happy I chose to go here! I felt so comfortable right from the very beginning and Izzie was so easy to talk to. She was so confident and did my hair better than I imagined it would look! I Will definitely be back in a few months when it needs done again! The salon was so clean & everyone was just so friendly. Even getting my patch test the girl was so nice. Thank you Izzie for doing such a good job! x

I had a brilliant treatment, cut and finish. Made my extremely damaged hair look and feel amazing, would definitely recommend boiler house.

I haven’t been to the hairdressers in 4 years after the last place I went to butchered my hair, but after reading reviews I decided to try the boilerhouse! I wasn’t too sure how I wanted my hair but Vicky made me feel comfortable, and explained exactly what she was going to do and I love the cut so much! Couple inches off and more shape around the face was exactly what I was hoping to achieve! Beautiful salon and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Not the best, highlights weren’t done close enough to the root so doesn’t look great and was very pricey - won’t come back.

Gabi has done a fantastic job on my hair! She was reassuring straight away and I instantly knew I could trust her and that she’d do a good job. The salon had a lovely atmosphere and every staff member I spoke to was very nice.

I’ve been going to Molly for my cut and colour since 2018, and all I can say is she’s simply the best!!

I love Jo. She's confident and professional and friendly at the same time. I never worry that I'm not going to like it. She's great.

After growing my hair in lockdown, I fancied a change. Nina gave a lovely short cut that adds more body and texture. Very pleased with the result.

After a frosty welcome, I was disappointed when my colourist made a few rude comments about the condition of my hair. It was very patronising and I do not expect that with such an expensive service. After all of this I was told that I had to pay an extra £20 for a blow dry... obviously I was not paying that extra amount when I usually get that included. I will not be coming back to this hair salon and if you want a nice friendly service I would look elsewhere.

Going to the Boilerhouse salon has been in my family for years. With my Grandma, Auntie, Mum and myself all being styled by Nina and Gabi. Both of these ladies are fantastic hairdressers and have become great friends to us all. They have always taken the time to listen to what we wanted and used their experiences to offer their advice and reccomendations on cut and colour to suit us. The rest of the staff are always so welcoming and warm which is why I always reccomend the Boilerhouse to anyone looking for top quality hairdressing and beauty services.

I honestly don’t ever usually write reviews but i had the loviest experience at your salon today. I’m a little nervous when it comes to hairdressers, I never know what I want or what to ask for and with having long hair just always seems my options are somewhat limited. I came in yesterday after months of lockdown hair and felt instantly welcomed . I got introduced to Nina and she made me feel so at ease, she talked through all my options and then once we made a plan she was just lovely and we chatted on throughout out my whole haircut . think I must of told her my life story everything from life as twin to neighbourhood kindness (which I don’t usually do) . when I got home I told my partner all the things we discussed and he was amused at how many topics you can cover in an hour he Also encouraged me to write this review as he could tell how nice of experience I had . Anyway thank you Nina for a lovely haircut but most of all for how you made me feel the rest of the day, your a absolutely fantastic lady . I know who I’m asking for next time I make an appointment . I have been visiting The Boilerhouse on and off for the last 20 years, always with impeccable results. The mood is so relaxed and friendly. The cutting and styling standards as good if not better than I have experienced in some of the top London salons. Jesmond is lucky to have such a great place for hairdressing. I’ve lately taken the step of embracing the grey. That has been handled really well - both on hair advice and the gradual chop. I’m really delighted with the result. Thanks to all the team.

As someone who usually dislikes Hairdressing salons, I was genuinely impressed with my experience at The Boilerhouse.
Everyone was friendly and attentive. I particularly liked my hairdresser, Molly, who cut my hair just as I asked and didn't try and press me into having a cut I wouldn't have a chance of styling myself.
Good to see strict adherence to COVID-19 PPE and Social Distancing too.
I'll definitely be back!

Very welcoming and friendly when I walked in. Washed hair well and the products used were fantastic. Listened to what I wanted for a cut and made it happen. Only recommendation i would say is I did advise I had psoriasis in my scalp and she was a bit hard with the comb and brush. Other than this was ace and I will be back.
