Boilerhouse Hair and Beauty Salon Jesmond

I haven’t had my hair cut since February, just before lockdown. In February I had a very short ‘pixie’ style haircut. By the time I got to the hairdressers, it was an overgrown hedge. Literally. Molly talked me through options to restyle my hair into something trendy and stylish. My resulting new haircut is fabulous, I feel brand new! Thank you so much! Awesome skills!

Felt very safe and cared for even though the salon is very different to pre covid19 times. Staff are still very friendly and efficient the only thing missing was a cappuccino.

Wonderful haircut, I had very vague instructions as I’m quite laid back about my hair style and Nina did an excellent job of working with me to get a good look. Very lovely conversation throughout!

Great experience, in spite of Covid restrictions. All safety measures in place, but I never felt I was being rushed. Lots of attention to detail. All staff are so friendly.

I walked in with long hair that hadnt been cut in years, I walked out looking and feeling like a new woman with short stylish hair. A huge thanks to Vicky and Gabi for working their magic on me. I will be back when it needs another cut. Love your work ladies, thank you so much.

Excellent! Michael did my 6 year olds hair exactly how we wanted, it’s very tight curls and there was a lot of it after lockdown but now it’s looking perfect again.

This was my first visit to Boilerhouse in Jesmond and I was thoroughly impressed with the service. On arrival I was given a warm and friendly welcome by the receptionist who took me to meet my stylist Sophie. Sophie was very professional and friendly and I couldn’t be happier with my hair. Thank you Boilerhouse for making my first visit so special and I would highly recommend to anyone.

Can’t fault a thing, Micheal was so lovely and knew what I wanted better than I did! Never loved a haircut so much, feel like myself again.

I was so excited to get my first haircut since lockdown! It was all excellent. I’ve been a customer for many years now, and I can’t recommend Boilerhouse highly enough.

Michael was friendly and the cut was nice, although not quite as short as I had asked for, and the soft flat iron waves were lovely. The colour, however, was not to my satisfaction. It was not at all what I had asked for.

Lovely to have Zarah doing my hair again! Love the result!!

Fabulous as ever, listened to what I wanted

My first hair cut since lockdown and the first time that I’ve been anywhere other than the hospital, as I’ve been shielding. Was slightly nervous about being out but needn’t have been as the Salon was arranged in such a way that it was easy to maintain social distance and full length screens were deployed between work stations.

I had colour and cut by Zarah today and she nailed it! She was very gentle with the hair and precise. Got exactly what I wanted and definitely found it relaxing at the salon despite the restrictions due to Covid. Definitely recommend!

This salon is great and really appreciate it being open on a Sunday too. It is so nice to be able to spend an hour again, having someone take care of you and nice also to know you and your hair, are in safe and skilful hands.

The masks made everything a bit muffled, but im sure my stylist said her name was zoe (not on the list though, so i might expect mis-heard!) Either way, she was great, happy to take time to talk about what I wanted and explain what would help get my hair looking how I wanted. Love the end result, thank you!

In the midsts of Covid-19 my hairdresser of over thirty years retired leaving me with a seven month ‘haystack’ on my head. Booked with Michael and enjoyed an excellent cut, excellent conversation, excellent service, excellent.
