TONI&GUY Gosforth opened in 2012. As a salon we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of customer service to each and every client. Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our Colour team hold the prestigious Wella Master Colour Expert accolade- their knowledge and expertise are on hand to advise you on the latest colours and techniques. We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m and Moroccan Oil to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit. For more information on our services please speak to our friendly reception team who will be happy to help. PARKING Our nearest car park is across the road on the opposite side of the salon, behind the shops. It's 30p an hour, maximum 2hours but we will top up your parking for you if we run over whilst in the salon. No more Thick Fizzy hair

If you have thick fizzy uncontrollable hair please try the KERATIN treatment. It lasts 3-6 months and is amazing. I visit weekly for blow drys, roots covered and never put a review on even though this salon is second to none (and I am fussy !!!).
The treatment takes around 40 minutes to take but the results are SMOOTH SHINY MANAGEABLE LOCKS

I booked in with my usual stylist, before coming here I hated getting my hair done as I always walked out disappointed and not listened too. But a lady here completely reestablished my relationship with hairdressers! I turned up to find the stylist I booked with wasn't in and she had been replaced by another girl who was half makeup artist half stylist. I usually get a very bright blonde and a darker blonde to help separate the colours as a both as highlights, and they go in about 1 inch from the root of my hair and blended in for a more natural look - it also isn't as high maintaince.

So... I sat down, she asked what I get so I told her about the two colours and said surely it's written down on my notes?
She came back and felt she understood from the notes as to my 'usual' I look up and she's putting dark brown all over my roots and giving my baliage- I had to ask her to wash it off before she did anymore! No apologies and almost argues that it was what I normally get (I know I'm not a hairdresser but I do know how my normal stylist does it!)

She washes it off, drys my hair and starts putting in the highlights, they seem fine until she gets to my fringe, I asked for my fringe to be very blonde so instead of a lot of little hightlights she puts a massive strand of hair in the foil making huge a unblended highlight!

To top it off, she said when it comes to washing it off do I want it the same golden blonde that I normally have, I said well I just want it to look like it always looks so yes.

She puts a toner on, when my hair is washed out the toner has taken all the blonde out and I'm left with a dark ginger blonde that you wouldn't know had any highlights in.

All in all I haven't been back, it was a huge disappointment by an unapologetic 'stylist' (this cost me well over £100) I'm sure we've all had those situations where we've had a cry over a haircut because we don't like it but I think I cried for about a week!

Gabrielle was amazing. My daughter has grown her hair for years and this was a special cut! Hot choc offered straight away and such care taken with getting the new look right. Gabrielle even did a French plait at the end for a swim party. My daughter loves her new look.
