TONI&GUY Gosforth opened in 2012. As a salon we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of customer service to each and every client. Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our Colour team hold the prestigious Wella Master Colour Expert accolade- their knowledge and expertise are on hand to advise you on the latest colours and techniques. We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m and Moroccan Oil to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit. For more information on our services please speak to our friendly reception team who will be happy to help. PARKING Our nearest car park is across the road on the opposite side of the salon, behind the shops. It's 30p an hour, maximum 2hours but we will top up your parking for you if we run over whilst in the salon. I was disappointed at being asked to stand and wait for my daughter’s hair to be finished as I am in the final trimester of my pregnancy. I had explained at the start of the visit to one of the stylists that standing wasn’t an option. I stood for about 15 mins despite there being plenty of room for a seat by the window while still maintaining social distancing. I also noted that the seat I was originally sat in next to my daughter, which I had to request, wasn’t cleaned before the next client arrived and sat in it. This is despite the posters in the salon claiming this would be done. I paid £39 for my pre-teen daughter to come and have her hair done and sadly I won’t be returning.

I’m so sorry to hear you were disappointed with your experience in salon today...
This has been a tough time for us all and we are trying our hardest to keep everyone safe and keeping with the government guidelines
Due to the current government guidelines of social distancing we cannot allow children and their parents into the salon together at the moment. Unfortunately there must have been a miscommunication which we do apologise for, during booking where you mustn’t of been told this. Upon your arrival, we did mention this and we would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to yourself. As the service was almost over and all chairs were full with paying clients, we had no choice but to ask you to wait aside as a paying client was waiting to be sat through. As our receptionist politely asked you to move to the front of the salon, she also disinfected the seat using anti bacterial spray and blue roll which was kept on the section next to it. You may have missed this as your back could have been turned.
Again I’d like to apologise and I hope you can now understand our reasons for the above

After 4 months without a cut I was quite giddy on my way to the salon, I was so impressed with all the measures that were in place and I couldn’t help feel lots of admiration for the staff having to wear visors and ppe whilst looking after clients. Vikki did an amazing cut as always, but while wearing a visor too, total respect & hats off..! It was also good to feel a sense of normality for the first time in months..???

Excellent service and felt at ease from the start as the salon is so well organised and prepared for all safety measures post covid. First Post- Lockdown Haircut

My last, pre-lockdown, haircut was on the 4th March, so Vikki had a job on her hands to say the least. I told her to look on it as a ‘blank canvas’ and, as ever, she worked her usual magic with my unruly locks. It was great to return since T&G reopened and see the gang, especially Sam, Vikki & Liam, who always make you feel genuinely welcome, and enjoy the craic. For me, it’s not just a hair appointment, but rather a social event that I always look forward to. Sam & co have clearly been very busy in putting all of the required safety standards in place to ensure the salon is COVID compliant and no one should have any concerns whatsoever about making an appointment. Mind you be quick, as the ‘phone didn’t stop ringing when I was there. T & G (Gosforth) can’t be beaten in my view! Russell
