About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. ***** was so lovely and very good at cutting my hair. The final result was disappointing as the volume we talked about was actually just frizz. I do have unusual hair so I’m used to having a disappointing blow dry but not usually at Toni and Guy prices.

Every time I go here I leave feeling 100x better. This time with Covid19 going on it had been a while so my hair was ridiculously long, I honestly felt a bit bad for my stylist and what they had to work with!

Things were handled a bit differently than usual because of safety measures but were done as perfectly as they could be.

Anyway, it's been about a week since my hair was cut and a still feel amazing and constantly running my hand through my hair.

I had the best experience one could have in a hair salon, Mathew was very understanding of what I wanted and also shared what he thought would be best for my hair. My hair being black and quite tricky to get to the colour I wanted I honestly was more than happy with the result. I am always massively impressed with my hair after Matthew has cut it. He is the only hairdresser I have ever known that actually knows how to deal with my thick long hair, I have been known to leave other hairdressers in tears due to them not understanding my hair type. After missing an appointment and deciding to use a bad box dye on my hair during lockdown I was dying to get my hair sorted out. I had balayage with Caroline and cut and blow dry with Katie. I think the offer for haircuts on this day for nhs staff was such a thoughtful thing to do. The salon is so organised with safety measures in place
