About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. Lockdown hair well and truly gone and feeling fabulous thanks to Matthew and Amy!

After waiting 4 months to get back to the salon it was time to mix it up a little and as always Matthew knew exactly what would work for me. I always trust his advice and have never been let down.

Firstly I love my haircut. Thank you Tanya! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she adapted it to suit me.
Secondly, the hygiene procedures in the salon were fantastic. I felt reassured from the minute I walked in that everyone knew exactly what they were doing in terms of cleaning and distancing. Everything was explained well, both when I made my booking and at the appointment. As an added bonus, I got 20% NHS discount!

1) I wanted a big change to my usual style that I’ve had for about 10 years

Whilst the experience was a bit different than the pre Covid world, it was still a warm, friendly and professional experience. The safety measures put in place were exceptional and made me feel instantly at ease. Tanya explained the whole process to me to ensure I was at ease with the situation.

My haircut was amazing, as it always is with Tanya. She is an absolute credit to Toni & Guy as are the rest of the team at the Newcastle salon.

The extra time allowed to each appointment meant that I was never crowded when entering or leaving the Salon and the measures in place made the whole experience as safe as it possibly could be.

It was great to be back and to see everyone again!!

Hair cut after Lockdown

Booking an appointment over the phone is easy, I actually arrived early because I’m excited, I like my hair trimmed monthly to maintain my long healthy hair. As a regular client I’m curious how Toni & Guy will implement the safety measures after lockdown, I am very impressed. After checking in, I was offered a client kit it’s in a packet containing all disposable items, things I needed for the haircut, including comb, face mask, cape etc... very clean and in the shampoo area there is a divider, place are busy but all maintain social distancing and I guest having an appointment make it manageable, that is the reason why I like Toni & Guy they are excellent in customer care, and excellent service with professional stylist, I loved my hair and Katie makes me very happy yesterday. Good quality, value for money, thank you.

Stella always does a fantastic job with my hair!!!! Although I had to admit to cutting my own fringe during lockdown she was not phased and sorted it out perfectly. I was very impressed with all the safety procedures put in place at the salon.
