About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. I've been going to Toni & Guy a while and they've always done a good job of my hair. I left them after a bad experience in a busy salon. After having struggling to get my long hair cut properly after moving again I went back with a very clear discussion of what I wanted - where I'd struggled with other hairdressers - particularly aimed at the fashion of having my long hair totally cropped back when I have it cut because it's too fine, badly cut or damaged for what I want. What I've been asking for I've always had - so it's so frustrating hairdressers don't do it or I get butchered; it's not too fine. And my hair is long, fast growing and in good condition. I'm just getting old and it's probably falling out. Anyway, I can trust T&G, they've sorted me out.

My first time at Toni & Guy Newcastle although I've been to the one in my home town. Becca cut my hair really well. I'm pleased with it and used products that genuinely enhanced the look. Christmas is a busy time and the salon was busy too, however I didn't feel rushed and was treated with true professionalism. At Toni & Guy's it's the little extras that count, something nice to drink while you discuss what you like, hand washing you hair, relaxing in the chair with the back massage feature, product knowledge, what to use to keep the style and overall it's a good atmosphere.

I visited on Saturday for a colour and cut. On leaving the salon my hair looked fine. Scott who was lovely explained that he had packed as many highlights through my hair. I wanted the grey coloured with some highlights but my hair is still showing grey underneath. I think for the cost I would have expected this not to be the case. Previous this has not happened. I am not usually a person to complain as I love coming to the salon and love libby styling my hair. 140 pounds is a lot to pay for a colour that will probably not last that long. as I say Scott was lovely and maybe misunderstood. Kind regards.

I have now looked into your service , you paid £58.00 plus £10.00 smartbond for a half head .

For a half head we would not be colouring the underneath this service would be a full head and charged at a higher amount .

You were charged £50 for a cut and £24.45 for a product gift pack.

Felt very welcome from the moment I walked through the door!

Libby was my stylist, she was super lovely, very knowledgeable, and did an amazing job on my hair.

The receptionist and assistant who washed my hair were also lovely!

Will definitely be back :)
