About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. Overall great experience! Since I came without a previous consultation, Matthew and the salon manager (I’m so bad with names, but lovely lady!) first discussed the options with me and suggested the best solution for my quite damaged blonde hair. Matthew did fantastic job with highlights and Becca (again, not sure about the name!) did the perfect blow dry. Can’t wait for my next appointment

Lovely hairdresser but disappointed with outcome

Visited for the first time for a blow dry after a long day at work and as a short cut to getting ready for a relative's wedding the day after. The lady doing my hair was lovely but my hair did not take to the blow dry at all. I've had blowndries before by another hair dresser and my hair has come out smooth and bouncy. Unfortunately this time it came out dry, hard and no movement. It may be because they didn't use enough conditioner (in case it 'weighed' my hair down), the hair dryer or method. -anyway I have no washed my hair again and am drying it myself. She asked if it was OK and because she was rushing for another client next to me I just said yes. Sorry I can't give a positive review.

The whole experience at Tony and Guy from start to finish is enjoyable, high quality and relaxing! Tanya really listens to your requests/issues with your hair and keeps you well informed of her plan/reasoning. Chairs for hair washing are so comfortable!! Salon feels really spacious and modern but not at all cold. Looking forward to a return appt with Tanya as she does fantastic hair!
