About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. My first time visiting the salon and I couldn't have been happier with my experience, all the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the salon itself was very nice and I went home loving my new hair, my stylist was a delight and I felt she really wanted me to be happy with the result (even if it had of meant taking up her entire night!) Could not fault this salon at all

Rebecca gave me a cut and blow dry and was very fast and efficient. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted. I'd definitely recommend her and will return. The other staff in the salon who greeted me and washed my hair were very pleasant.

Stylist was nice, and polite, and I was happy with the general cut (aside from the fringe being a bit wonky - however as my hair is extremely straight, so I understand it is difficult for stylists to get this right)
However I don't think I will be returning to Toni and Guy Newcastle.

I booked a last minute appointment (as due to my job, it's hard to plan in advance)
Also, on going to the opticians after my appointment, it was pointed out that my fringe is uneven...

Matthew was great as always.

The wash I get in T&G is really inconsistent though. Sometimes takes 3 minutes, sometimes 10. Sometimes offered the back massage and feet up, sometimes left without. Wash, condition and head massage equally inconsistent in quality and length of time.

After not having my hair cut for quite some time and experimenting cutting my own hair I decided it was time to get it professionally cut. And professional was what it was. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and was escorted where I needed to be. It introduced to Tanya then the washing of the hair commenced. Again, lovely staff who asked me how I was doing and seemed really interested. Then I went back and the cutting of the hair started. Overall, I cannot say how amazing Tanya was at meeting my needs and making me feel as comfortable as possible, I love my new hair and the service I received. Already booked my new appointment.
