About us

TONI&GUY Newcastle-upon-Tyne opened in the city centre in 1995, recently relocating to Haymarket. We are committed to providing the ultimate salon experience, paying great attention to customer service.

Our talented team of stylists and technicians are on hand to give you expert advice and create hair that is individual and easy to live with, interpreting fashion trends with versatile wearable styles. Members of our salon are part of the TONI&GUY Session Team and have worked alongside the International Artistic Team on catwalk shows at London Fashion Week, bringing the latest trends from the catwalk to our clients.

We offer many additional services including Bridal and Occasion hair and the NanoKeratin Smoothing blow-dry. Our wide range of haircare products include label.m, Kerastase, GHD, L’Oreal and Tangle Teezer to keep your hair salon perfect until your next visit.

STRENGTH IN STYLE
Strength in Style is now available in this salon, offering people affected by cancer specialist support and advice on hair care. This service includes styling pre, during and post treatment hair, and wig personalisation with the option to purchase synthetic and human hair wigs. So once again o have had an amazing experience with Libby!
I have been growing my hair into a style that I have never tried before. I have had a bob for 30 years in all shapes and colours but Libby has convinced me to try something new.
I have been growing my hair out for a year and yesterday when I went in I was going to go back to my usual standard cut.
Libby was amazing and convinced me to continue using her expertise to update my cut using techniques that have given me a look that I absolutely love.
We are going to look at colours next time to keep me interested but I'm sure whatever Libby suggests I will love as she listens carefully and uses her skill and knowledge to interpret my needs.
A credit to the salon!! Thanks once again Libby!

Not my first visit and not will it be my last, although not my best visit. Loved my stylist -Tanya - very friendly, great hair cut, all the things you want really. I normally love having my hair washed however on this occasion, I couldn't tell you who did it (no introduction) felt like my scalp was being cooked (no enquiry about the temperature) and as for relaxing, it was clear she was supposed to be on her way home and therefore in a rush. But loved Tanya!

Always look forward to coming here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Tanya who does my hair is first class she knows how I like my hair done and always delivers. The guy on Reception always makes you feel welcome and so is the apprentice apologies for forgetting their names but honestly they really do go the extra mile which really means a lot to me.

This is a nice salon. My haircut was fine. I can always rely on T & G for a decent cut so I will go back but with a different stylist. On this occasion the stylist did not use clean brushes when styling my hair. I think they should be washed for every customer.

Had my eight weekly haircut with Hannah today and as always she has done a fantastic job. Hannah always listens to what I want and I'm never disappointed with the results. Also like to thank Amy who washed my hair today and gave me a lovely relaxing head massage. Perfect experience all round.

The team at T&G Newcastle are always fantastic. They're great with the more indecisive individuals (me) as well as those hyperactive ones (my kids). They're responsible and balance doing what the customer wants whilst administering some common sense when needed.

Great staff, great atmosphere, lovely coffee and a cracking hair cut. Even advice on styling and maintaining. I bought product to. What more do you want! Well worth paying that bit extra.

Always a great experience

I have been getting my hair cut here for 3 and a half years now and that's not going to be changing any time soon. Katie is my hairdresser and she is always pleasant, friendly, personable and she always does an amazing job. It's fair to say that I haven't got the easiest hair to magage on the account it's straight and quite fine but Katie has provided good styling tips and advice on products right for me and my hair type which is nice as it means I can trust any recommendations she makes.
Whilst I have already mentioned Katie is amazing, the other staff are also awesome. Whoever is on reception when I come in is always very nice, they look after you at the start and at the end and the staff that wash your hair also give a good head massage. I'm always offered a hot drink too without fail which is also very nice. I used to hate going to the hairdressers before I came here but now I'm there every month without fail with a smile on my face :o)

1st hair cut for years

I'd become a bit scared of having my hair cut, incase I didn't like it (I have curly hair and have had a few bad cuts in the past) but Claire was excellent- easy going, didn't take too much off, and offered for me to come back if I wasn't happy.
