I have three girls under the age of 8 and have found getting their hair cut to be a bit of a challenge. Having brought them to Lara Johnson Lifestyle they have been treated like absolute princesses. They were given room to read their books and do their colouring and were pampered and spoilt throughout. All staff were patient and accommodating making us feel at ease. The salon went above and beyond to give my girls the best experience and my three year old already can’t wait to come back for her next “pamper”. Thank you so much, Lara, Lizzie and team.

Matthew done a fantastic job,as always! He is the best hairdresser in Swansea.
On the other hand, I was disappointed with the salon. I visited the salon with my 4 months old baby. You have no nappy changing opportunity!! You have a towel dryer, but no baby changing facility. It's ridiculous!! I'm sure I'm not the only one who can not have a babysitter all the time. I had to hold her and put a new nappy on her in my arms. So disappointed!

All good with hair but the coffee could be hugely improved!

Another point is the dye stain around the hairline. I know it’s tricky and important to be thorough - and not pointing a finger at any one as it always happens. But I literally can’t go out unless I’ve stubbed my hairline and dried my fringe again. Any suggestions?

‘Is that me?’ was the question I posed to the ruggedly handsome (in a Nordic way) artiste with the scissors. ‘Yes it is you. Now fly, fly’ he benignly said as he smiled that wry smile. The one that many a lady was glad they were sitting down for. At that moment I felt my self esteem had been rebuilt in less than an hour. Like a human Tesla, my batteries of joy were so full I could emerge to face the world anew! Thank you Dan. The Cézanne of the scissors. The Claude Monet of the clippers.

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade and a visit to Lara’s is the best lemonade you can get.
At a difficult time, with no time for myself, I manage to escape to an appointment with the Queen herself.
The staff are always so welcoming and ready to relax you. I had a lovely moment of tranquility as the toner was applied to my hair, with some gentle chat from the young member of staff who didn’t push me to be chatty.
A gorgeous hot chocolate and a glass of water with a slice of lemon (it’s the attention to detail) soothed my soul and a chance to read National Geographic’s Traveller, latest edition (no years old magazines in this salon), and escape into dreams of places to go was blissful.
I I then had that moment at the sink which I always relish, in fact I could set up camp there- a little head massage is just what I needed.
And then Lara, this magician, who reads me like a book, listens and lifts my spirits and transforms my menopausal mop into sleek gorgeousness and I leave feeling like a goddess, already looking forward to the next appointment. This woman is the soul of the salon.. I can never imagine going anywhere else, I’m already planning a mini break based on our little chat about her own holidays.
If you only do one thing for yourself, make sure it’s a trip to Lara’s. You won’t be disappointed.
There’s only one thing missing…..
