Cora Hair

I am a loyal customer of Cora since 2018 and have had amazing experience with Cora especially Sammy. However, today I must say the treatment I received from the Cora staff was insensitive. I had an appointment at 10 am for a blow dry and haircut (restyling) which should take more an hour for the service. Unfortunately, I was 10 mins late for my appointment due to my newborn (3 months old) and I was asked to go back home while I was standing outside the salon (I wasted 5 mins in a discussion with the receptionist standing outside). When I finally went inside I had a discussion with a senior stylist who asked me to come back at 1 pm to get styled with a new/ junior stylist which I didn’t wanted to (I have had some bitter experience in the past). They tried to give me an appointment for a weekday saying it’s quitter and this discussion wasted another 15 mins. I kept saying why don’t you just do a haircut instead of us discussing but the senior stylist kept saying no you are too late and now it’s 10.30 am already.
I agree I made a mistake by getting 10 mins late for the appointment but the way I was treated felt inappropriate and insensitive nor was I given a call to check my whereabouts.
My major concern and why I write this review is that the senior stylist was already with another client when I arrived and had the next appointment after me in less than 45 mins which made me think if the salon overbooked and blamed everything on me to treat me incorrectly for arriving 10 mins late (trust me there was no empathy).
I have given up my deposit as I can’t go back to this place ever again and booked myself with a better salon.

Had a haircut and blow dry with Sonia. She was very professional, attentive and helpful. My hair is extremely thick and needed a tidy up. Great service - Would recommend to book in with her.

Faye was professional and listened to what I wanted, she made sure to check throughout that I was happy with what she was doing.

First visit & was very pleased. Staff very friendly, Tiger was excellent, will definitely be returning

Ist time have been here not the last. Sonia did my hair today made sure what I wanted would suit me. Also gave me input about what colors would suit me now and how this can be done. Hair looks and feels in great condition Great cut thank you Sonia

I had my hair balayage done by Tiger he did an excellent job and very friendly

So Happy with the service provided and me and my sisters haircut. Tiger is friendly, informative and listens to exactly how you want your hair. You can see his passion towards his profession and his expertise. He made me and my sister feel welcomed. Highly recommend you visiting if you want a haircut in Birmingham and looking for that perfect hairstylist :)

I have been having my hair done with Kim for several years now. The service is always exemplary and Kim makes it a pleasurable experience every time. I am very happy with both the cut and colour and would recommend the salon to anyone seeking a professional and quality experience.

From the moment you step into the salon you can be assured of it being COVID safe, all team members wear a mask and are sanitizing their work stations after each client. Both Lillie and Cora took their time to ensure I left feeling fabulous. Nothing is a problem. Cannot fault anything and highly recommend a visit.

Tiger understood straight away what I was going for, and gave me exactly that. We was open and friendly and easy to talk to and clearly knows what he's doing. I really appreciated as well that he knew exactly what to do with my curly hair, I've found in the past that's not always the case. Wonderful!
