Harris Gibbs Hair Salon

I booked for a balayage, root stretch and a c&bd.
The salon is gorgeous, the staff are really friendly, cant fault any of that, in fact, Alex was lovely, however what he did to my hair was not.
Naturally i have dark brown hair but I wanted the bottom lightened to a blonde/caramel colour. i loved the dark brown he used however the bottom was ginger, but i thought some purple cond should do the trick. after a day or 2 I noticed there was a chunk of fringe that hadnt been cut in, and the rhs felt thinner, but i let it slide and put it down to me being too fussy.
roll on 2 months, i booked with another hairdresser for the same thing. the lady doing my hair was gobsmacked at the state of my hair and took photos to show me. the cut was totally uneven at the bottom, all different lengths. the colour was slopped on and all different colours of ginger not blonde! it was awful. she was shocked that he let me leave the salon like that. a gd style hides a bad cut

I've been a client of Harris Gibbs Hair for several years now, and I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. Not only that but I've always found the salon to have such a friendly feel. While the salon was closed I sorely missed my appointments with Alex and the lovely team.

They handled the covid-19 situation brilliantly, keeping in touch with clients, communicating clearly and booking everyone back in fairly. The measures they've implemented are very thorough and I felt very happy and safe on my return - not to mention delighted with my much-improved hair!

I had an appointment at Harris Gibbs on Sunday 5th July and was delighted to return! As someone who visits the salon every 5-6 weeks, I’ve found lockdown a challenge! The measures in place made me feel very comfortable and it still had the same welcoming feeling as always. There was a calmness to the place and everything seemed highly organised. Alex, Chris and the team have done an amazing job in reopening, and fingers crossed that regular appointments can remain a reality once more!

What an amazing experience. Brilliant salon, exceptional stylists. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. The guys here have such an It could have been a real scary experience first one back following lockdown lifting restrictions but it was a really good chilled environment and I felt so very safe.

Honestly what else can I say, I’ve had my haircut from both Chris and Alex for over 10 years and I would never contemplate going anywhere else even though I live outside of Birmingham 10/10.

You felt safe as you walked through the door, although there was evidence of the precautions required you felt the pre COVID experience Which was worth the wait. Professional and friendly as we have been accustomed to. Well done Alex and Chris. Your efforts are much appreciated, thank you

It was great to be back in the salon today and I had no worries about attending . I knew Alex would ensure everyone would be safe and it felt great to be back . Feels great to have my hair back to normal! If you are looking for a high quality service at an affordable price this is the place for you .

I had my hair done Saturday with my usual hairdresser Chloe. The salon have certainly taken every measure possible to ensure customers feel safe during this pandemic!

I have been going to salon for a number of years now and each time I am impressed with the staff, knowledge and product range available. The staff are friendly and its a relaxed atmosphere where you can, have a chat and relax. I've been to other salons where selling is their main aim. My stylist, Becky really looks after me and knows what I like, hair style and colour wise. Upon reopening after lockdown the salon was clean and the equipment is thoroughly cleaned after every use giving me the confidence to return. Thanks guys

First rate hairdresser and a lovely person.

Went for a colour followed by cut and blow dry. Colour was ok. I gave the stylist a picture of how I wanted my hair cut and how I wanted my fringe done. Instead of feathered and layered hair, I ended up with blocks of hair which had no style. On top of that, my fringe looked like the curtains that teenage boys had in the 90s.

The dye stain hadn’t been taken off either. I was given baby wipes to just scrub at my own forehead, again which did not help. She didn’t help me when I told her it was not coming off.

After the cut, she didn’t try to fix the problem when I told her that the cut was nothing like the photos.

Ended up making an emergency last minute appointment at another salon on the same day.

Definitely would not go ahead.

Always enjoy my regular visit. Everyone there is friendly and Chloe is absolutely the best hairdresser in Brum!

Harris and Gibbs are amazing. I really feel like I'm being spoiled every time I get my hair cut, from the massage chairs they have for hair washing to the kindness and genuine nature of the staff. They give really lovely haircuts - despite having moved away I keep coming back here. All the staff are great but Alex does my hair and I love it each time.

The salon was buzzing with conversation and busy hairdressers this morning. Staff always giving a personal service.

From the soft lounge seating for your consultation, frothy cappuccino while you have your treatment to the head massage while you have your hair washed. Today was my first visit to Harris & Gibbs. I can honestly say from the moment I walked into the shop everyone there made me feel really welcome and relaxed. Chris who I've known for a long time was brillant and is so talented. I now have a brand new style which I love. Will recommend to all my friends and family.

As someone who never used to put much stock into getting her hair cut or maintaining her hair, I can honestly say this salon completely changed my outlook on hair care. After a frustrating cut at another salon, which left me disappointed, I went to Harris Gibbs for a fringe cut and I have never been anywhere else since! I have been coming here for just over a year now and I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else again. My stylist Becky has offered me guidance over the past year and my hair has completely transformed from being dry and limp to silky and smooth. It’s refreshing to have a stylist who genuinely cares and takes an interest in their customers and what they want for their hair. All of the staff at Harris Gibbs are friendly and welcoming and getting my hair done is no longer a chore or an inconvenience but something I look forward to now. I never thought I would be interested in purchasing products and treating my hair but thanks to the advice from Becky I use Tigi products regularly to maintain my hair and the results have been amazing. If you’re looking for a salon that will invest in their customers and make you feel positive about your hair then this is 100% the one for you!
