so good to be back and see what feels like old friends, the salon has put every measure in place to make customers feel safe during covid without removing the firendly atmosphere.

I always receive amazing service at Nicky Clarke, I love my new haircut and was lovely to be back at the salon.

It’s a big step to start going out again and feel safe but I had no need to worry yesterday. The salon was as organised as ever and I felt safe in their hands. The cut, finish and colour by Collette were first class and it was so good to chat again too. All in all a great experience and I would recommend others give it a try xx

Always a great experience - Colette is really tentative to your needs and does a beautiful job. Sunny is an incredible stylist! All the staff are lovely and very good at what they do.

So excited to have finally had my hair styled but it was so worth it. All Covid precautions are in place as expected but the salon was always spotless. Excellent service. I highly recommend Jess. She listens to your ideas and her advice is spot on.

Sunny was, as always, professional, meticulous, skilful, attentive and in general a perfect stylist! Everything went smoothly on my return to the salon after 5 months (due to Covid-19 lockdown).. I had full confidence in every aspect of my visit.
I had my colour done first with Colette, and she is wonderful at achieving exactly what my hair needs to enrich my colour and lift my spirits with her fabulous and kind personality, and always careful, always deft, and always lovely with it, achieving miraculous results!
Sunny then looked after me so well with my cut and finish, listened to my needs, and addressed my concerns (after such a long break) perfectly. I left feeling like a new woman, and with my next appointments sorted.
Full credit also to ALL the support staff for ensuring that everything ran smoothly from start to finish, and initial telephone contact from reception regarding return procedures.
The hygiene measures were clearly visible on the day, and allowed for a clean and safe environment, with good social distancing where possible, and necessary limited entry to the salon.
Thank you all so much... it’s why I return to the salon after my initial visit a few months after the salon opened at the mailbox more than 15 years ago..
Sunny is one of the kindest, dedicated and considerate stylists I have ever had and I have really missed my visits! Both Sunny and Colette have a knack of making me feel a thousand times better on leaving, than on arrival!

I feel extremely reassured when Sonny cuts my hair. There’s no fuss, no pulling faces or raising problems, he just whizzes around so confidently and delivers a cut that people *always* say- “ooh, good cut. Where do you go?” when they see me. Always leave feeling like a million bucks.

Tommie rescued my hair after 5 months of zero attention! He’s also the sweetest guy, will definitely be returning when I’m in Birmingham

It was a pleasure seeing Jess again and she did an absolutely amazing job of cutting my hair! She knows exactly what I want which is very hard to find in a hairdresser, especially because I have thick coarse hair.

I also wanted to thank all the staff for how they dealt with social distancing and providing masks and gloves. I felt very at ease.

I’ve been going to this salon since it opened and I highly recommend it. My experience yesterday was amazing, I felt safe with all the percussions in place and they couldn’t have done any more. My hair looks fantastic. Coloured by Colette and cut by Martin. Well done team.

I’ve had my hair coloured for the past 15 years and have tried many colourists but Tommie is certainly the best. If you want a bespoke signature colour created just for you then you can’t do better

Sunny has been cutting my hair for almost 15 years. He has always made me feel reassured and comfortable in any situation.. the salon has always accomadated and accustomed to any change effortlessly without making customers feel any different to a usual hair styling experience.

Great cut, service and environment.

I've been getting my haircut by Sunny for more years than I'd like to think of. He listens to what I would like done and explains what can be achieved with my hair. Always friendly and attentive.

As always friendly staff nothing too much for them, Colette is such a perfectionist, always happy with my hair, always feel that she really cares that I’m happy with my hair . Everyone great!!

Every care and attention to cater for my new requirements, with consideration for condition and aftercare. What more could you ask for!

It’s an absolute pleasure going to this salon where everyone is so friendly. I don’t have the best of hair and I really appreciate Martins professional advice and I am loving how much better Martin is making my hair look! I had colour with
TOMMY and a cut with MARTIN. I was so excited to get my hair done after lockdown and really enjoyed the experience and seeing the fab team at the Mailbox salon again.

I am 75 years of age. A life time of ‘cutters’. Martin is the most professional stylist have encountered to date over the years. Also a pleasure to spend the time while he works on my hair. Most hairdressers to date I am unable to say this!

Martin is a wonderful hairdresser! I’ve been going to Martin for months (since Joe left), and each time he does a brilliant job. He’s friendly, funny and incredibly talented. Each time I leave Nicky Clarke feeling like a new woman, so thank you, Martin!

Jess was awesome and sorted out my hair and gave me exactly what I wanted!!! Really pleased with my new hair :)

Collette is a fantastic colourist, but there isn’t anyone that can give a good blow dry after the colour to complete the experience apart from the stylists which isn’t an option. I have been a customer of yours since the salon opened in the mailbox and have an appointment every four weeks, but have to blow dry my hair myself after it has been coloured. I had my hair coloured yesterday which cost me £90 and thought I would have it blow dried to complete the experience but I was very disappointed with the outcome and left the salon very upset. Collette did ask if I wanted a roller put in to give it some body but it wouldn’t have made a difference. It was a mess. It was a good I was going home. The only time I can get a decent blow dry is when I book a stylist for a cut.
