Worst cut and balayage ever
I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, and I’ve never reviewed any service online before - so I hope this speaks volumes.
I came in and asked for a balayage and for a couple of inches to be taken off. The cut itself was choppy and there were noticeably longer strands sticking out. Luke had also cut the front of my hair slightly shorter, despite me having made it very clear at the start that I didn’t want the front at all shaped. The balayage, by Alex, was also very uneven/inconsistent and not blended properly, resulting in large random blocks of colour starting at the top and middle of my head. I felt that he rushed the service and displayed an inappropriate level of carelessness. He also incorrectly overcharged me at the end.
I returned to the salon the next day for another 3.5 hours to have this corrected - which again turned out to be a complete waste of time. I asked Alex to blend the balayage more into my hair so that there was more of a gradient between my natural hair colour and the ash blonde, and I also asked for the colouring to be at a more consistent level and less choppy/all over the place. He recoloured my hair (all of it, not just the top - which was unnecessary) and genuinely made it look worse. He completely ignored what I had asked him to do, and instead produced the same uneven and unblended result. Although another hairdresser was able to fix the cut, it was the worst balayage I have ever received and it left my hair over-coloured and damaged.
In the end I had to go to the Toni and Guy salon in Solihull (an almost 2-hour roundtrip for me) to have it fixed because the Sutton branch couldn’t fit me in the next day. I shouldn’t have had to go through 2 cuts and 3 colours to get a simple cut and balayage. Hardly what you would expect from what was supposed to be a £180 haircut (I had a 20% off voucher).
Please please please do not go here - there won’t listen to what you ask for. I am beyond baffled how this place has good reviews.
