Friendly staff and fantastic haircut! So happy with it - thank you!

I had my hair done today and very pleased with the result. I had already had highlights which had gone orange and bright yellow. Alex spend a good amount of time putting colour and new highlights that I am very pleased with and I have been getting lovely comments from everyone about it. The hair cut and styling also was done beautifully. I also got a lovely back massage in their special chair whilst having my hair washed. Today has been a happy day.

Had a wonderful experience with the lovely Ellie. She understood my hairstyle wishes and delivered 100%

The worst Keratin treatment ever!!!! After staying there for more than two hours and paying £175 my hair was not done properly!!
My hair originally is not damaged and silky from the roots and needed the keratin for the bottom. Waited three days before washing my hair after the treatment as they requested and once I washed my hair with their shampoo the result is horrible!! My hair from the bottom is still frizzy and not silky at all!!!!!!!
I now have to go again to them!! Which will cost me financially to get there and they will have to do it all again!! She was meant to leave in my hair for certain time but exceeded this to cut and blow dry someone’s elses hair.

Unfortunately the girl does not know the difference between a centimetre and an inch so I received a horrible scalping. Asked for fringe to be cut really neatly: it is a total mess. Holiday ruined before I have even left home. Thanks so much!

Had highlights by Alex today . Very happy with the result, was just what I asked for . Alex paid great attention to detail and put me at ease with his great personality . Would definitely recommend !

Jay did my sons first hair cut. She was very calming with him and looked after him, she was vey patient and will definitely return!

Had a men’s hair cut with Jay a few times now, she’s the best in the game and deffo go back!

Jay took me from copper to blonde in one sitting without doing any damage to my hair. She managed to keep the length and integrity of my hair. Will definitely be returning.

I had my hair done by Jay and she was amazing! She spoke through the service for me and discussed what I wanted. She took on board what I was after but also gave recommendations for what would suit me. She looked at my inspiration photos and gave me the best possible outcome!

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy, and I’ve never reviewed any service online before - so I hope this speaks volumes.

I came in and asked for a balayage and for a couple of inches to be taken off. The cut itself was choppy and there were noticeably longer strands sticking out. Luke had also cut the front of my hair slightly shorter, despite me having made it very clear at the start that I didn’t want the front at all shaped. The balayage, by Alex, was also very uneven/inconsistent and not blended properly, resulting in large random blocks of colour starting at the top and middle of my head. I felt that he rushed the service and displayed an inappropriate level of carelessness. He also incorrectly overcharged me at the end.

I returned to the salon the next day for another 3.5 hours to have this corrected - which again turned out to be a complete waste of time. I asked Alex to blend the balayage more into my hair so that there was more of a gradient between my natural hair colour and the ash blonde, and I also asked for the colouring to be at a more consistent level and less choppy/all over the place. He recoloured my hair (all of it, not just the top - which was unnecessary) and genuinely made it look worse. He completely ignored what I had asked him to do, and instead produced the same uneven and unblended result. Although another hairdresser was able to fix the cut, it was the worst balayage I have ever received and it left my hair over-coloured and damaged.

In the end I had to go to the Toni and Guy salon in Solihull (an almost 2-hour roundtrip for me) to have it fixed because the Sutton branch couldn’t fit me in the next day. I shouldn’t have had to go through 2 cuts and 3 colours to get a simple cut and balayage. Hardly what you would expect from what was supposed to be a £180 haircut (I had a 20% off voucher).

Please please please do not go here - there won’t listen to what you ask for. I am beyond baffled how this place has good reviews.

Having my hair cut has never been my favourite thing . I've had so many disasters over the years that I'm very wary. So have just kept a long styled look to avoid being disappointed. However, I visited the salon today and had a really good experience. The staff are lovely and so welcoming. Ryan was my stylist and gave me a beautiful cut. I was thrilled when I left the salon. Will most definitely recommend. I booked straight away with Ryan for next time. 10/10 ? thank you.

I am a long standing customer of T&G Sutton Coldfied. Luke and Natalie have cared for my hair and ared about me for many years. As I’ve come to terms with FFA, they have protected my dignity and my confidence by tailoring cuts and styles to mask and suit. Even moving brim the sink to the mirror, they make sure my hair is ruffled into place to cover the gaps. I one away looking me best abs feeling great. That’s a special service from special people!! A lovely man who makes the experience at the salon a joy! Very professional and always gives a great and often needed cut! He understands the problems with my type of hair and sorts it. I feel like a Queen when I leave. Great conversation aswell. All the staff make the customers most welcome and Natalie and Ryan should be praised for running a tight ship, especially in these unprecedented times.

I’ve been visiting this salon for a number of years, first visit was triggered by a salon disaster elsewhere. This Salon has restored my hair health, got me from jet black to blonde over the course of the year whilst keeping my hair healthy, given me honest and helpful advice continuously and have always done their upmost to help. Natalie and Jessica as well as Alex and Ryan have always taken excellent care of me, operated with kindness and professionalism. I would always recommend this Salon. Lovely people who are brilliant at what they do.

Hi. I got my first keratin treatment done. I was extremely nervous as I didn’t know what to expect as I colour my hair regularly. Ryan done the treatment for me , best treatment I have ever done. Ryan is extremely good at his job and he knows the best. I would highly recommend Toni and guy for treatment. It was money well spent. :)

She told me my fringe was too small, took the weight and body from my hair and put it in my fringe. Result - a helmet and a wonky helmet at that! No other hairdresser has made such a suggestion in several decades. Also, told her I did not want it longer at the front and she has cut it longer at the front. Really upset - this embarrassing haircut will take well over a year to grow out.

NAT and Ryan are the best ever.. I met them over a year ago and they are not only damn good at what they do they have also become good friends, they give 100% attention to detail, their friendliness and time and attention with you is priceless....I have missed going to the salon which was basically every week... sometimes everyday..lol...NAT , Ryan if u pick this message up it extension Deb pls contact me. Sian did my colour she understood exactly what I was looking for and colour looks fab. Jay then cut it again fully understanding what I was looking for. I have curly frizzy hair which can be difficult to cut. Jay did a great job. Will be back again.

Went to the salon. Because I had a catastrophe with my hair over the weekend, all the guys were super attentive and understood my issues. I came out with just what I asked for. The stylist also gave me some new ideas and ways of wearing my hair. I totally love it ???? thanks!! ❤️❤️

Toni and Guy standards have dropped over the years and there is a continous change in staff. Trainees are stylists before the they completed there course. I would not recommend the Sutton Coldfield branch.

I was a model for a trainee here and she left perm in my hair too long and a week later my hair start breaking off in places at the roots. They charged me £30 for the perm but it was a cheap box perm from Boots. They were very cold and unfriendly and took me ages and loads of conditioning treatments for my long hair to grow back!!!

Wonderful visit to salon. Very friendly. Had hair coured by Alex. Sooo happy. Ive been other salons. But hes the best.
