In all my decades of visiting hair salons I am thrilled to say that AT LAST I have found what I was searching for - a stylist who actually listened and understood what I wanted done. Sammy was positively amazing and transformed my hair totally. I cannot imagine ever using anyone else in future. She has made me feel really good about myself again. What more can I say? Sammy rocks! I was very nervous about going to a new hairdresser, but Lindsey was simply amazing. She made me feel so welcome, and she is so technically talented! The most brilliant blend of professionalism and making you feel like you’re chatting to an old friend. Will easily be back for another appointment, after a fantastic haircut!

I was in town on business and my hair desperately needed a cut. Avant Garde was recommended by receptionist at hotel. Sammy L. was great, chatty, friendly and the cut is fab. My only complaint - the salon is too far away from home!! If I was local, I would certainly be back and Sammy would be my stylist.

Sammy … what can I say. I came to salon with virtually a full head of blonde, dry, brittle hair and was looking to go brunette. Sammy listened to my needs and delivered… colour amazing, completely smashed it! A good cut and my hair is glossy, shiny and fresh! Thank you, see you in 8 weeks!!

As someone who has never had their hair done in a salon before, Charley made me feel SO comfortable and at ease throughout my stay! Big hair colour change (in 9 years) this morning with Kate. She’s v knowledgable & explained what she would be doing and what it means going forward etc. I couldn’t be happier with my hair and Kate did an absolute 10/10 job ?

Kate’s an amazing hairdresser but also she’s so chatty, friendly and personable, there’s a reason I’ve had her for 5+ years and have been coming to Avant Garde for the past 13/14 years! Always an excellent service, all staff are friendly and you have great coffee!

I just love my hair! I'm so pleased I found Sammy. She understands what I want, even when I'm not 100% sure myself, or not 100% clear with instructions. I'm one of those fussy blondes and she just gets my hair, understands the tone I want and how to achieve it. Highly recommend her xx

Perfect as always

I came in today for something different as I seem to be going back to my youth with experimenting with my hair as I never did when I was a teen! I got home and cried! I am so over the moon with my new hair! Thank you Lizzie! You are amazing and I feel amazing!

Caring, took time to assess my needs with thinning hair and not much experience of treatments / options available. Pleasant experience for someone who’s not used to salons as such due to no time!

Very pleased with my Cut, wash and blow dry. So gentle with hair dryer did not feel any uncomfortable heat on my scalp and a great trim. Lovely chatty Kate, relaxed and enjoyed everything even the coffee was lush. Thank you all.

Sian is excellent at doing my nails and very patient with me when I break a nail. Nothing is ever too much for her.

Charlotte did an absolutely incredible job! She did what no other hairdresser has been able to do in almost 6 years and actually get me blonder! She is the blonde queen! I cannot recommend enough!
